"The Dude can run also Folks"

We are in Florida and will leave for N.Y.C. and the Westminster Kennel Club Show from the Tampa Airport this Saturday. We will shown Dude on Tuesday morning and then leave Madison Square Garden on Wed. back to Florida and then start heading back West. Will show in Scottsdale, AZ. and hope to be back in Bend in mid-March.

Dude finished 2005 as the #2 Ibizan Hound overall and the #1 Ibizan Hound Dog in the Nation with an invite to the Westminster Show. During January 2006 Dude moved up again into the #1 spot with AKC for Ibizan Hounds as the overall leader of the Breed.

Nike winning Best of Winners

this was at the show in Ridgefield, Wa. the previous weekend where Dude was BOB both days and picked up 23 breed points and Nike won 3 point majors on both days to finish her Championship.

This weekend in Boise, Id. was another nice weekend with Dude going BOB on 2 days, Angel BOS on 2 days and my 6 month + 1 week old puppy Zara going BOS. Also my Whippet puppy J.R. was Winners Dog on 1 day for his first points.

Dude and Angel apparently with be invited to the AKC/EUK Show in Tampa, Fl. in January since they are both in the top 10 of the rankings. Dude is also currently in the top 5 in breed points and we are hopeful that he will be invited to the Westminister Kennel Club Show in Madison Square Garden in February.

Oh and I just had a phone call from our local area newspaper and they are going to do a feature article on my Ibizan Hounds since somehow they heard that my dogs were up high in the rankings with AKC. They will do a photo shoot tomorrow but I am not sure when they will print the article.

Dude is currently in the #4 spot with AKC in the Breed Category
and Angel is #9.

In the All Breed Category Dude is also in the #4 spot and
Angel is in the #6 spot

"NEWS Flash"

Dude is now a Canadian Champion as well as with the AKC. Last week he finished his CKC Title in just 4 days with 4 BOB's and 2 Group 4's. Nike won Best Puppy and a Group 1 in the Hound Group and Angel was BOB and BOS with some points also. My Kylie also had a BOB in Whippets and made the cut in the Hound Group which gave her a few points also.

The photo is of Dude for his Group 4 with Nike as the
Group 1 winner and Best Puppy -
Nike won the Group 1
Hound Puppy Award! Dude is #4 in the AKC Standings and
Angel is #5 in the standings!

Dude wins a Group 2 placement today under
Judge Michael Sosne
which could possible place him in the Top 5 in Breed Points at the end of the month. He really strutted around the ring and had a lot of the crowd behind him cheering him on.
I have to brag a bit for myself and my handler Ken since we have only had him in 5 weekend shows since he arrived in Oregon and we have alternated between him and Angel in the Show Ring. In less than two months he has jumped from nowhere to his current #8 Breed Standing and #9 All Breed Standing with a possible top 5 Standing by the end of the month.

Here's to "The Dude",

"ANGEL'S FIRST GROUP WIN"

Group Win was under Judge M. Joan Frailey with my Handler Ken Granacki. Angel was Best of Breed at the Show in Albany, Or. on both days and picked up 2 points for her wins. She is now in the Top 25 Group of Ibizan Hounds and is expected to jump into the Top 10 when her Group Win is posted by AKC. The previous week in Scottsdale, Az. she was Winners Bitch and Best of Winners receiving 3 Point Majors on three consecutive days for a total of 9 points. With the 2 points she picked up in her very first Show in Portland, winning Winners Bitch two out of three days, she now only needs 2 points to finish her Championship.

                                             Angel's First 3 Point Major!

This was Angel's very first Major and it was under  Judge Mrs. Pamela B. Peat - March 2005

                      "Angel's Second 3 Point Major!"

Angel is Best of Winners for her second 3 point major for the
weekend under Judge Mr. Michael J. Dougherty at the Scottsdale Show in March.

Angel's third 3 point Major for the Weekend in Scottsdale

This win was under Judge Mrs. Betty Stites with my Handler Ken Granacki again doing a great job.

Please Note: ...........Angels first 3 point major was under Judge Mrs. Pamela B. Peat on Saturday at the Scottsdale Show, but for some reason we have not received that photo. Our apologies to Judge Peat and rest assured that it will be posted upon receipt.

I would personally like to thank all of these Judges for recognizing Angel as being a top quality Ibizan Hound and making statements like "I don't care if she is only 8 months old she is the best out there and needs to be recognized as such!"

I would again like to praise Stephanie Bonner for her excellent breeding of this young lady and to again thank her for allowing me the privilege of owning her.

                            Best of Breed

Angel wins her first Best of Breed under Judge Mrs. M. Joan Frailey (shown) with my Handler Ken Granacki and repeated the Best of Breed win the next day under Judge Mr. Stephen J. Hubbell. She then went on to a Group 4 under Judge Joan Frailey at only 8 month of age.

My 7 month old Ibizan Hound Angel winning Best Bitch at the Portland Show in Jan. 2005.

The ring photographer threw a toy to get Angel's, and Angel was ready to go coursing in the ring.

The proper stance for a winning photo.
Thanks to my handler Ken, the breeder Stephanie Bonner and to Judge Cynthia Sommers for this great win.
